Purpose

This is the privacy policy for Soup Fashion Recovery’s (Soup) website, fashionrecovery.co.nz. It lets you know when I collect personal information and what I do with it. I’ll only use your personal information as set out in this policy.

I may need to update this policy from time to time. If I do, I’ll amend this page explaining the changes.

The information Soup collects

You may disclose personal information to Soup when you purchase an item via our online store, or message Soup via our contact email, shop@fashionrecovery.co.nz. You don’t have to, though. You can view the site incognito. fashionrecovery.co.nz is hosted by Vultr, so this service will also hold the information, on Soup’s behalf.

Anyone who may assist Soup with the website over time may also be able to see this information but they won’t be able to share it or use it for their own purposes.

Soup will only use your personal information to communicate with you about orders, and for any other purpose that is made clear to you at the point of collection. I may send occasional emails to you in relation to other matters relevant to fashionrecovery.co.nz.

Soup won’t disclose your personal information to third parties unless I need to do so to defend my legal position or am required by law to do so.

The information will be held for as long as I’m providing fashionrecovery.co.nz or any related site. When I no longer require it for such purposes, I’ll delete it.

Soup also collects statistical information about visits to the site to help with understanding its usage (this information is anonymous). fashionrecovery.co.nz and related tools may use cookies for this and other purposes. The cookies that WordPress generates are described in the WordPress codex, Google explains the cookies that Google Analytics sets on the Google Developers site, and Facebook explains the cookies they set on the Help Center page, Cookies, Pixels & Similar Technologies. Mailchimp, the service I used to manage my mailing list, has details about the information they collect on their Privacy Policy page. fashionrecovery.co.nz may also use cookies to help load pages efficiently. You can usually remove or block cookies by using settings in your browser.

Soup’s payment platform, Stripe, has details about the information they collect on their Privacy Policy page. Soup does not see or store your credit card details. If you choose to check the “Save payment information to my account for future purchases” option at checkout, your credit details will be stored on Stripe’s secure servers.

Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to see the personal information about you that Soup has stored, or to request correction of such personal information, or if you have any concerns regarding your privacy. You’ll understand that Soup may need to ask for proof of your identity before providing you with any personal information. You can contact Soup at contact@soup.net.nz for general enquiries.
